The Mechanical Man aka Nicola Altieri, is a class ‘82 dj and producer from Naples. Influenced by Chicago and Detroit’s groove, his style becomes dense and warm thanks to a blend with the most recent electronic neapolitan music scene.
His productions are a balanced combination of samples - chopped with his beloved MPC - and a selection of vintage Casio synths.
“Past, Present, Future”, is the first solo Ep featured on Funclab Records by a producer outside the collective whose work aims to be the first of a series of upcoming collaborations.
This Ep guides you in a chronologic trip starting from his formation, up to the sound he has matured throughout his career, highlighting his extensive knowledge and culture.
