RX2XT marks a transitional moment for Real Timpani: the crossing of a metamorphic and ever-changing stage. It stems from an impromptu and liberating journey that fits (or rather, wedges itself in) the band's path of growth and exploration. A gesture of rejection against feeling immobilized within a chrysalis that proves too tight, it is a rebellious motion in the face of the inevitable phase of identity definition imposed by societal norms. The EP expresses the desire to fearlessly wade into the indistinct, revealing an attention to the aesthetics of the process and expression rather than the result itself.
In fact, RX2XT is closely tied to the group's performativity and comes to life from two open tracks that spontaneously took shape while being played live one after another. The band aimed to integrate heterogeneous materials compared to their usual trajectory and interact with the styles and sounds of the rock and trap worlds, using them uninhibitedly to weave an unstable interplay of references.

Sad Song Is Our Dream originates from an improvisation whose ingredients - a punk spirit and straight drums - served to soothe the disappointment caused by a relationship. Born in November 2022 during a cathartic moment, almost detached from the artistic path taken up to that point, it deliberately embraces all the clichés of current music in a lively experimentation. It's not by chance that it's the first time the vocals take on a lead role in a song.

Monasteroide gets its name from a town in the province of Bergamo (Monasterolo del Castello). An explosive track, a boulder that hits you, it took shape for the first time in 2019 during an improvisation session in the studio by Matteo in Spilamberto. The nature of the trumpet is bent to rock, resembling a guitar. It's a forceful and impactful track, much like its name suggests.
